March 2005

29th March 2005:

When I am not well, I lose all concept of time... It really is as if the grains of time are slipping through my grasp... It's really difficult to do anything because depressed thoughts paralyse me... And the day is over, and I have achieved nothing...

When I am well, things are alive, buzzing & 'go', and I achieve lots... I am always aware of where I am at, where I make progress and where I am hindered... I am always on track; set backs are seen as small learning steps to take note of for the future... I am hyper-organised, and going torwards a bright positive future...

16th March 2005:

It's 7pm... am back at home now... was perusing about the Budget... but have to do some catching up - since I haven't read last year's Budget...

I think if Gordon Brown became Prime Minster it would be different... Tony Blair has an added 'evil' streak in him which helps him to overcome what the world throws at him... he can fight back using his understanding...

Gordon Brown is a nicer man - but more things might be thrown at him... whereas they would leave Tony Blair alone... and this would get in the way of governing the country... but if Gordon Brown is aware of this this makes it better... I feel Gordon Brown would respond to attacks by stating the good progress we are making on the economy but it might be different if the economy was struggling... (but with Tony Blair he can fight off this kind of attack by side-stepping it - and concentrate on the main issues at hand)...

But I feel the balance is right that Tony Blair is Prime Minister and Gordon Brown the controller of the money/ economy... but together they are good... because I don't think Tony Blair could do Gordon Brown's role, Gordon Brown might have a fair go at being Prime Minister - but it would be different... (Gordon Brown as Chancellor of the Exchequer is in a stronger position than perhaps Tony Blair).

Also, I think - maybe I have just woken up - but am noticing that this government cares about the whole world and governs in maybe a universal way and helps out with the developing countries and poverty crisis...

We do live in the 21st Century now and it was time that poverty was eradicated... and all children should be entitled to an education...

I dislike the conservatives because I feel that they are only out to protect themselves... ie. people who are middle class... I think a lot of conservatives are rich people and maybe they were born into money... I think some conservative voters do not see the bigger picture... they just do not see/ are aware that the world involves everyone - everyone on this planet... For example, I don't think that they would do anything to help the AIDS crisis in Africa or to help stop poverty... We do live in the 21st Century... it's not all about giving high earning people tax breaks... I think the Conservative Party would perpetuate poverty in the world... I don't think it would be a part of their agenda if they came into government again...
